Single Tooth Dental Implants – Starting from $4,500
A single-tooth dental implant is a dental restoration designed to replace a missing tooth with a porcelain tooth that looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth. Unlike traditional bridges or dentures, dental implants are implanted directly into the jawbone, providing stability, durability, and peace of mind.
Benefits of Single Tooth Dental Implants:
Improved Aesthetics
Single-tooth dental implants blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, enhancing your smile’s aesthetics and boosting confidence.
Preserves Adjacent Teeth
Unlike traditional bridges, dental implants don’t require grinding down of adjacent healthy teeth for support. This preserves the integrity of the neighbouring teeth and promotes better oral health
Durability and Longevity
Dental implants are designed to last with proper care and maintenance, making them a cost-effective long-term solution.
Restored Chewing Function
With a stable foundation, dental implants restore normal chewing function, allowing you to enjoy your favourite foods without restrictions.
Speech Improvement
Unlike ill-fitting dentures, dental implants won’t slip or cause speech impediments, allowing you to speak naturally and confidently.
The Single Tooth Dental Implant Process
Replacing teeth with dental implants involves carefully orchestrated steps requiring precision and expertise. Here are the steps:
Initial Consultation
During this visit, the dental implantologist will evaluate your oral health, take X-rays, and discuss your treatment options.
Implant Placement
If you’re a suitable candidate for a dental implant, the implant post will be placed into your jawbone. This can be carried out under local anaesthesia or intravenous sedation and local anaesthesia. After this procedure, a 3 to 6 months healing period is often required for osseointegration.
Abutment Placement
Once the implant has fully fused with the jawbone, a second minor surgery is performed to place the healing abutment. This step is essential to create a stable connection between the implant and the gum.
Dental Crown Placement
After the gums have healed around the abutment, scans of your teeth and implant will be taken to create a custom-made implant crown. The crown will then be attached to the abutment, completing your smile.
Follow-up Care
Regular check-ups and hygiene appointments with your dental implant team are necessary to monitor the implant’s success and ensure optimal oral health.
